Summer Projects!

We have about four months left of no snow on the ground.  Therefore, we are in high gear to finish outdoor projects before the white stuff flies.  Here's what we've been doing:

Building a deck on the back door side of the house.  Can't wait til it's all done and I've made some flower boxes to go on it and found a bargain bistro set. 

Also, the garden is coming along nicely, thanks to an abundance of rain and my marigolds standing guard.  They have certainly kept the bugs away.


In the house I continue to paint kitchen cabinets.  It's a slow process when you have an 18-month old with an endless supply of curiosity and energy.


After the deck is finished, Jesse will tackle building a fence.  And then, a schoolroom for the kids.  Homeschool starts September 7, and it needs to be be done by then.


For now, we are enjoying the relatively warm weather and I send the kids outside whenever the weather cooperates.  Yesterday was one of those days.  Today is not.
